Why The Los Angeles Men's Bible Conference (LAMBC)?

 

 

In the urban community and our country as a whole, there is a void of spiritual truth. To counter this, men must strive after God; submit themselves and their ministries to the authority of God’s Word.

 

We must regain our dependence and reverence for the Word of God. The LAMBC provides a conference in the Urban Community that is biblically oriented and philosophically consistent with Scripture. Each year we consider several important areas of ministry from a scriptural standpoint to help men counter the drift from biblical authority.

 

Co-sponsors: The Los Angeles Bible Training School (LABTS) has been training leaders in the urban community for 46 years. Paul Felix has served as President since 2002. It is his desire that the LABTS continue to serve the community by training those who will train others. Under the leadership of Dr. John MacArthur, The Master’s Seminary, has been training men from around the globe for 20 years. Both support the LAMBC as a means to fulfill a calling to train others who edify the body of Christ and bring glory to God.

 

This year, LAMBC will train men by addressing the topic, Men Who Love God. What is the greatest commandment? It is a call to love God with all of our being. The world is fighting for our allegiance and asking us to love it instead. However, we know that is spiritual suicide. The Word tells us that, if we love the world the love of the Father is not in us. So how do we fulfill the most important command the Lord gives His people? How do we keep the world at bay and strive to be men who are known as lovers of God? How do we develop the spirit of David, Paul, and countless others throughout history who have been known for a dynamic love for the Savior? I am convinced that this is your passion--to be a man known for loving the Savior above all else. Please join us as we hear the Word of God proclaimed and make inroads to better our churches and community.
